We believe that proper bike control not only makes you a safer rider, it makes riding much more enjoyable. Our learn to ride program is a fun, step by step process to safely introduce new riders to motorcycling, and develop proper bike control as habit/muscle memory. We've helped thousands of riders learn to ride and/or get their license. The program is $199 total and includes motorcycle lesson and use of the training bike to get your m1 license.
Day 1: 3 hours private motorcycle instruction covering: Bike introduction, Slow speed bike control, clutch, gas, brakes, throttle. Shifting, Proper braking, Cornering set up, Countersteering! Panic stops, Swerving/accident avoidance, Proper cornering, Downshifting, DMV Test circle practice
Day 2: Two hours which includes: Additional practice, and the DMV Test to get your license. The starter package does not bypass the dmv motorcycle test, however you are guaranteed to pass. Levels Beginner - Intermediate. MSF grads welcome.
Requirements: California motorcycle permit (info here). Absolute beginners welcome.
Riding gear: Boots with soft soles or sneakers, jeans, long sleeve shirt or jacket, dot helmet (full face always recommended), eye protection (standard glasses or sunglasses ok), gloves. Bottled water recommended. I have a helmet you can borrow if you don't have one. Please read the FAQ below!
